V60

Also known as Hario V60 · goteo · pour over

Dripper Hario V60

The Hario V60 is a pour-over dripper with ridges and a 60° angle. It rewards pulse pouring and highlights acidity and aromatics.

Medium-fine grind, bloom, then circular pours. In Cafesito it maps to the Goteo (drip) brew method.

Pouring too fast (channeling), unrinsed filter, or fixed ratio without tuning grind.

Brewing steps

  1. Rinse the filter with hot water and preheat the V60/server; discard the water.

  3. Bloom: pour ~40 ml in a spiral (0:00–0:45) and gentle swirl.

  4. Continue with circular pulses to 250 ml, keeping slurry height steady.

  5. When dripping finishes (~2:30–3:00), swirl the server and serve.

Tips

  • If bitter: coarser grind or less agitation.
  • If sour/thin: finer grind or longer bloom.

Are V60 and Chemex the same?
