Dry mill

Also known as dry mill · beneficio seco · trilladora · hulling mill

What it is and what sets it apart: Differs from wet mill: no cherry—work density, size, colour and green defects.

How it is done: Dry parchment intake → optional rest → hull → densimetric → screens → optical/hand sort → bag.

Flavours and cup benefits: Defines exportable quality. Consistency; poor hulling = broken beans.

Technical notes: Parchment moisture and machine calibration. Label: dry mill.

Common mistakes: Dry mills do not wash cherry. Do not confuse parchment with ready green.
